Katie Loxton products

Hi!

Just before Christmas I was shopping in Fenwicks when I came across the Katie Loxton London collection and lets just say I instantly fell in love with everything but especially the range of clutch bags.  Needless to say I put this straight onto my Christmas list!

I was lucky enough to receive one for Christmas from my parents, I got the pale pink one with Girly Goodies written on and I soon purchased the grey with in the bag on. I find these not only amazing clutch bag but also nice pouches for inside my handbag.

I have also recently received the red with 'Bag of Tricks' as a birthday present which I adore. These products are so well designed and the quality is outstanding. I love the sayings on the front and the gold zip adds a little something too.

I also have a scarf which again I instantly fell in love with, the quality is amazing and it feels so soft and luxurious. I chose the Beautiful dreamer scarf because I love stars and grey is my colour of choice at the moment.

Katie Loxton London also has keyrings, a range of bags as well as a range of fragrances. I am excited to see the new spring/summer range in stores, I think I may need to purchase some of the other amazing products.

My weekend make up products

Hi!

I'm probably not the only one that uses different make up products on a weekend or when I'm not at work. As I briefly mentioned in a previous post my job is in exercise so I don't like to wear to much make up or any products that are basically going to melt off my face. I do have some make up free days when I'm at work but lets be honest its not that often.

I'm the type of person that always like to feel at least a little well put together, so through the week I tend to wear BB Creams and mascara whereas one a weekend I go all out!!
Below is my current go to products:

Nars sheer glow (Mont Blanc)- a lovely base product, gives a radiant glow to the skin. It is build able so you can find the right coverage to suit you. This is one of my go to foundations.

Nars radient creamy concealer (Vanilla)- provides extra radiance to the skin, if I'm having a good skin day I can wear this under my eyes although I sometimes fine it shows fine lines.

Bourjois healthy balance powder (Vanilla)- In all honesty this is an al-time favourite of mine, it sets my make up perfectly. Its very fine and you cant see it lying on the skin. Definitely a must have in my make up draw.

Chanel soleil tan de chanel- a cream based product that feels so luxurious and velvety on the skin, I tend to wear this on top of my foundation however you can use it underneath make up as a base product. I use a small plastic chanel stick so I can warm the product up on the back on my hand before I apply it.

Bobbi Brown Blush (Slopes)-  this is a silky power that is so easy to apply, its not an over powering colour. For me this is a subtle pinky shade that looks incredibly natural.

Chanel illusion de ombre (Illusoire)- I adore this eye shadow, I also have two other colours. They are extremely vibrant, buildable, silky, creamy and also blend extremely well.

Maybelline Lash sensational (Black waterproof)- I'm quite picky when it comes to mascara . I have been using this maybelline product for a while now and have repurchased it 2-3 times. I find that this product not only lengthens my lashes but also adds a bit of volume too.

Weekend Getaway

Hi!

Me and two of my amazing friends had a girls trip to Leeds for a weekend get away, we chose to meet in Leeds as its kind of in the middle of where we live. two of us left from Newcastle and my other friend travelled from London. The plan was to have a nice girly catch up and generally just a good time together as we don't really get to do it as often now we are getting older!
Oh my goodness we did exactly that, I cannot remember the last time I laughed and giggled so much. As well  as lots of gossip and giggles we did a little bit of shopping of course, I mean it would of been rude not to and some cocktails on the Saturday evening.

Leeds is a lovely city with plenty of shops, coffee/ pit stop places as well as if fair share of night life. We found the architecture of the arcades mesmerising and absolutely stunning and came to the conclusion that we may need to arrange another shopping trip there soon with some of our other friends. I added some of my favourite pictures from the trip.

Pit stop number 1- there was a few

My Fitness Routine

Hi!

I thought I would do a slightly different kind of post today!

We are all aware the being physically active is really important for us, keeping your body healthy and fit as well as helping with your mental well-being.

I've always been quite physically active, I used to be a competitive swimmer and I now work in exercise so I like to try and keep myself fit and healthy. Earlier this year I was in a really good routine of 3 gym sessions a week but totally fell off the wagon in the Summer. If I'm honest and this will probably sound insane to some people but I found I really started to miss the routine and the exercise.

In November I noticed my local leisure centre had an offer which they named 'Christmas Pudding' where by you paid £15 for the last 6 weeks of 2015 so I signed up and lets be honest it absolutely killed me but I managed to get back into my routine before I knew it.
I go to the gym twice a week and I do cardio with a mixture of weights and body weight exercises as well as a spinning class once of week which I am really enjoying.

It's strange especially at this time of the year I rejoined the gym or more specifically January people tend to assume that you exercise to lose weight etc as its when a lot of people tend to make new years resolutions. A few people have recently asked me why I exercise and basically I find it a great way to relieve stress and it makes me feel better not only in myself but also about myself. I exercise to keep fit and to try and stay as healthy as I can. It is so easy to mistreat your body, at the end of the day we only get one and we may as well look after it the best way we can. (sorry if that's a bit preachy!) I think it's important that you find an activity you enjoy as it's easy to keep to a routine and that doesn't even have to involve the gym at all, there are plenty of other activities like gardening and walking that can be just as beneficial. There are also a range of fitness gurus on YouTube these days.
