The Hoppings

Hi!

Every year a fair known as The Hoppings arrives on the town moor in Newcastle, the fair has been visiting the area for 100 years. It is one of the biggest fun fairs in Europe and is a great family day out.

Last Saturday I went along with my family and we had a lovely day. It always reminds me and my cousin of our childhood and I don't think either of us will ever forget the smell of food and sweets and the sheer excitement that it used to bring and if I honest still kind of does!

Jo Malone Fragrance Launch

Hi!

On Tuesday evening I attended the new Fragrance Launch at Jo Malone in Fenwicks Newcastle, I took my best friend along with me and we had a lovely time. The new fragrance is Incense & Cedrat, we were greeted with champagne and a delicious Jo Malone chocolate (which was divine). We were split into groups got to explore the fragrance and were given an overview of the product. It is a very rich and warm scent and is beautiful paired with some of the other colognes available.

We were treat to a complementary arm and hand massage with the vitamin E range followed by our choice of combined fragrances, I chose Tuberose & Angelica with the new Incense & Cedrat (it smelt amazing) and we were also given a little treat to leave with

Lazy Sunday's

Hi!

I love to have a lazy Sunday at home, at the moment these consist of the gym in the morning then home to do some baking (which I find quite therapeutic and relaxing) and on the plus side I've worked off the calories before I eat whatever I've made, that's how it works right?!

Last weekend I made some vanilla cupcakes with home-made vanilla frosting, if I do say so myself they were quite tasty and went down well at home and at work.

So above is everything I used to make my cakes

And now for the finished products.......

to decorate I used Cadbury's flake, dried raspberry bits and sprinkles. The recipe I use for the frosting is from The Hummingbird Bakery.

Current Skincare Items

Hi!

M.A.C Cleanse off oil (£20)- this takes off all my make up including waterproof mascara and my gel eye liner. I follow this up with Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish hot cloth cleanser (£15.50) which really cleans my skin after removing all my make up and ensures all dirt is gone.

Once a week I exfoliator my skin- anymore than that and my skin becomes agitated and not very happy with me. I use the Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator which is like it says on the label gentle and smells divine. If I feel my skin needs a little something extra I use the Origins Facial Brush (£5). One of the benefits of this facial brush is that you control how much pressure is applied.

NUXE Gentle Toning Lotion (£14)- I use this once a day in the evening following the M.A.C and Liz Earle cleansers, if there's any bit of make up or dirt that I've missed this will remove it. The formula of this toner is lovely I feel it soothing my skin as I sweep it across my face with a cotton pad.

L'Oreal Paris skin perfection Micellar water (£4.99)- I find this product helpful for mornings/evenings when I go to the gym as I cleanse properly when I return home. I also use this when correcting make up mistakes!

Bright Eyes Goldfaden MD (£48)- I apply this product in the morning and it feels really soothing and cooling which helps with any puffiness and also brightens the eye area.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment (£33)-  This product is great for times when my eye area needs some extra TLC, the creamy formula hydrates the sensitive skin and I can always see and feel the difference when using this, I can apply this morning and night.

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser normal/combination (£20.25)- this product soothes and hydrates my skin ready for make up application. It is lightweight and absorbs quickly.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye (£24.50)- I think this product is genius, apply it at night and by the morning my under eye area looks fresher and I find my bags seem slightly improved.

Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate (£21)- If I'm having a particularly awful skin day or in my case its often a week! this facial oil softens my skin while helping it look radiant and more healthy. I use this in the evening before moisturising.

My skin is normal combination however I do get the odd dry patch at times too.
